Summer Photos Part 2

Ok, so I wasn't so good about continuing to update! I never even finished our summer photos!

Well, now I've uploaded pics to photobucket (thanks for the advice brother Jeff!) so hopefully updating the blog with pics won't be so time consuming now! Here are some more pics from this past summer.


My favorite trip every year: Camping in Grand Haven, MI - this year with my part time schedule, I was able to stay for 2 weeks with the kids! A lot of work with a baby, but I had lots of help - thanks Family! Jeff stayed one week and then came back to pick us up after the second week. AND, we got to spend 2 WHOLE weeks with John and Noreen (from AZ), Wyatt's Godparents.

Summer 2009 - Part 1

Well, I’ve neglected the blog – I’m going to blame facebook since it is so much easier to update with pictures and catch up with everyone. Here's our summer update! I'm hoping to get back into blogging and not let it go so long.
It was a great summer since I was only working 3 days a week and had lots of time with the kids!

Will Loves his Grandpopper

Will loves his Grandpopper. He is always talking about him or pretending to talk to him on the phone. Grandpopper is the best - he plays with Will, teaches Will, builds things with Will, and gives Will rides in his sidecar, tractor, truck, bobcat (not sure about this one but Will talks about it), and soon, his airplane. Today, we met up with my mom and dad at their annual church chicken dinner. Will was searching the crowd fast for Grandpopper and when he espied him, he ran as fast as he could yelling "Grandpopper Grandpopper!!" and jumped into his arms giving him a big hug. It was so apparent how much he loves Grandpopper. Thanks Grandpopper for being a grand Grandpa!

Happy Go Lucky Wyatt

Wyatt is a happy little baby - he has recently discovered his feet and the top of his head (maybe he's realized how crazy his hair is and he's trying to mat it down?). He loves to talk and giggle. He's learned how to "tickle" mommy by touching my face and I break out laughing, which results in his belly laughter at this reaction he caused. Jeff and I feel so blessed to have him and Will in our lives.

My little potty man

Will has gone over a week without having any accidents! He also has learned to get on the potty all by himself and wash his hands all by himself. I just need to teach him how to get his pants on right and I'm a free mommy!

Potty Training!

Will is officially potty training! His first time actually going on the potty was 2 weeks ago while Jeff was at the cabin. He went #1, and 5 minutes later, told me he had to go again. We did and he quickly realized that if he keeps making trips to the potty, he gets more and more candy. 10 minutes later, he told me he had to go again. Oh boy, I thought, this is going to go on all night. However, that third trip was actually a #2!! I was so excited because I've heard that #2 is the hardest to get a toddler to let out on the toilet. Of course, we had to make 2 calls to daddy at the cabin with 20 of his closest friends to shout the news. And with the second call to deliver the #2 news, we heard the "YAY POOP" cheer from all 20 of the guys in the background.

Will is now on his second day of big boy undies only changing to a pull up or diaper during nap and at night. He's doing great - but hasn't actually "told" us he has to go, we just keep bringing him to the bathroom every 1-2 hours. Next step is to stop the prompting and let him tell us...
